Tea Party Occupies Occupy Wall Street
VANDER BITES – Fearing declining popularity amongst the newest American voting block, the “Shouters,” the Tea Party has begun occupying the Occupy Wall Street protests.
“When you think about it, we’ve got more in common than most people realize,” longtime Tea Party advocate Sarah Palin said. “We both yell a lot, but mostly just stand around expecting something to magically happen, even if we don’t know what we want exactly.”
The new “Occupy Occupy Wall Street” movement has swept through many of America’s largest cities, including New York, Detroit, Portland and Boise, though most Idaho protesters went home early when Larry Craig joined them in support.
Authorities have kept a close eye on the newest occupy-occupy movement, or “Oh-Oh” as Fox news pundit Bill O’Reilly calls it. While no major skirmishes have erupted, police remain on high alert, especially amongst precincts that pay overtime.
However, tensions rose in New York early this afternoon when Occupy Wall Street accused the Tea Party of interfering with the flow of their unauthorized street protesting.
“Our entire group was delayed by several hours because the Tea Party had illegally blocked traffic,” a bloody Occupy Wall Street protestor told the media. “We had to wait for police to clear them out before we could tussle with the authorities ourselves. And by then the cops were too tired to brutalize us so we had to beat ourselves up. It’s just not the same.”
