Favre Retires from Retiring

Brett FavreVANDER BITES – The illustrious career of long-time retiring quarterback Brett Favre has reached its end, as the NFL star has announced his retirement from announcing retirements.

“It’s been a great run,” Favre told reporters. “I’ve had some really great retirements and don’t have any regrets. I’m just at the point in my life where I don’t feel like I don’t have anything left to prove.”

Favre’s announcement comes a year after an emotional retirement announcement he made in Green Bay, Wisconsin, arguably one of his most brilliant performances.

“There’s always a part of me that says, ‘I want to keep retiring for the rest of my life,’” Favre said. “But I’m going out on top. There are a lot of younger people announcing retirements these days, and it would only get harder for a guy my age. Even though I still feel like I’ve got a couple of good years of retirement announcing left in me, I think the time is right to move on.”

Before announcing his decision, Favre met with the owners and managers of the Green Bay Civic Center, which has been his venue of choice for the majority of his retirement announcements and after parties. His decision caught them off guard.

“It’s hard to watch one of the best retirers step away from the game like this, it took us completely by surprise,” the Civic Center stage manager said. “But ultimately, we want what’s best for Brett, and we support him one hundred percent.”

Favre plans on spending his free time playing quarterback in the National Football League.

“The Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets both have great programs,” he said. “I’ve worked with both of them in the past and would be interested in exploring future opportunities.”
